Privacy.

Musikkbingo stores games and an optional usage record on the device. Apple handles music, purchases and Game Center participation. This policy covers version 2 and this website. In-app feedback is available from version 2.0.1.

Controller and contact

Vibelabs AS is responsible for Musikkbingo and the processing described here. For support and privacy enquiries, email hei@musikkbingoapp.no.

The game library is bundled with the app. Game history and the usage log stay on your device. Apple provides music, purchases and Game Center. Version 2.0.1 and later also let you send feedback when you choose; see “Feedback from the app”.

Games on the device

The app stores team names, game settings, rounds, points, progress and history locally so you can play, resume a game and view results. It also stores preferences and information about content purchases confirmed by Apple.

When updating from version 1 on the same device, earlier games and settings remain in a local archive. Original files are preserved. This information is not uploaded to a Musikkbingo account.

Daily attempts have separate storage, described under Game Center.

Local usage record

The usage record is on by default and stays on the device. It contains the last 100 game attempts and an app-launch counter. Its purpose is to show how a game started and where it may have stopped, so you can share useful information when reporting a problem.

It records a random attempt ID, day, app build, game mode, selected difficulty and round count, completed rounds, time until first playback, game-flow steps, music error type, and whether a game was replayed or resumed. It may also contain a local game ID. Steps can include opening setup, preparing a game, music ready, first playback, first answer, pausing, completing a game or opening sound help.

The record does not contain team names, song titles or your answers. It is not sent to us automatically.

  • Open “Privacy and usage” and turn off “Keep a local usage log” to stop new entries. Existing entries remain until you delete them.
  • Choose “Delete usage log” and confirm “Delete log” to remove the entries and reset the launch counter. Game history and purchases remain.
  • Choose “Share usage log” if you want to send it yourself. You choose a recipient in the share sheet.

Apple Music

Musikkbingo uses MusicKit to check music permission and subscription access, find recordings in Apple's catalogue and play music. Without an Apple Music subscription the app plays clips of up to 30 seconds where Apple makes them available. With a subscription it plays the full recording. The subscription is bought separately from Apple. The device asks for music permission before using this access.

Apple processes its service's account, connection and playback information under its own rules. Vibelabs does not receive your Apple password, music library or listening history. See Apple Music & Privacy and Apple's Privacy Policy.

Purchases with Apple

Purchases, subscriptions and restoration are handled through StoreKit and the App Store. The app uses transaction and subscription status confirmed by Apple to unlock content locally. Vibelabs does not receive card numbers or complete payment details through the app.

Apple manages your Apple Account and purchase history. You can restore purchases and open Apple's subscription management from “Content and prices”. Apple's Privacy Policy applies to Apple's processing.

When you use a partner offer, Apple’s subscription reports may include the offer reference, a random subscriber ID, purchases, renewals and refunds. We use these reports to calculate partner commission and check settlements. Partners receive totals, not subscriber IDs or individual purchase histories. Processing is based on our legitimate interest in accurate settlement. Reports are stored with restricted access for as long as needed for settlement, corrections and any legal recordkeeping requirements. The app sends no separate analytics event for the offer.

Game Center

Game Center is used only for Daily Five. Other modes can be played without it. When you participate, your points are linked to your Game Center account. Your Game Center nickname and points can appear to others on the leaderboard.

At the start, the app submits a score of zero to Apple to mark that the attempt has been used. It submits the final score afterwards. Both submissions include a numeric value derived from the random attempt ID in the score's context field. This links the start and result to the same attempt.

The app also uses the Game Center player identifier, teamPlayerID, locally to bind the attempt to the correct account and daily period. The daily attempt itself is stored in the device's Keychain. This storage is tied to the device and can survive deleting and reinstalling the app.

Vibelabs has no separate Game Center results database. Apple processes account information, identifiers, game activity and results under Game Center & Privacy.

From version 2.0.1, you can share a Game Center challenge after completing an attempt. The completed result is also submitted to a separate results leaderboard with Apple. Game Center handles invitations. Alternatively, you can share your score, date and App Store link through the iOS share sheet.

Sharing and support

Result cards are created on the device. If you share one, its recipient can see the team names and points shown on the card. You choose the recipient and channel through iOS. The selected service's privacy rules apply to further sharing.

Usage records and music error details are sent only when you choose to share them. A music error report may include the app version, iOS version, and technical steps and error codes from the music connection.

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use these to answer and follow up on the request. The basis is helping fulfil our agreement concerning the app when the request relates to it, or our legitimate interest in answering other enquiries. We do not use a support request for marketing.

Feedback from the app

This feature is available from version 2.0.1. You write a message and choose whether to attach a screenshot. The report is sent when you tap “Send”.

The report contains your message, any name you choose to provide, the optional screenshot, app version, build number, iOS version, device model, language and the name of the screen you were using. A screenshot may show team names and scores. Check the image before sending it.

The app sends a random installation ID and uses Apple’s App Attest to verify the app installation. The server keeps this registration to authenticate submissions and limit abuse. The ID lets us link reports from the same installation. It contains neither your Apple Account nor the name you gave your phone.

Game history, purchases, your Game Center account and your Apple Music account are not attached as report data. The app does not attach an email address. Any details you write in the message or show in the screenshot are included.

We use reports to investigate problems and improve the app. Processing is based on our legitimate interest in this work. See “Your rights” for information about access, deletion and the right to object.

Reports and screenshots are stored in the EU with Cloudflare for up to 90 days before automatic deletion. Installation registrations are stored separately and have no automatic deletion period. Your IP address is used during submission to limit abuse and is not stored with the report.

The feedback feature has no automatic reply address. Email hei@musikkbingoapp.no if you need a reply or help with information you have sent.

The website

This website consists of static pages. The pages set no cookies of their own, use no analytics tools, and store no information in your browser's local storage. Language selection uses ordinary links. The font and illustration are served from the same website.

Cloudflare hosts musikkbingoapp.no and the redirect from spillmusikkbingo.no and processes technical request data, such as IP address, time, requested page and browser information, for delivery, troubleshooting and security. These are technical operating logs. Processing is necessary to deliver and protect the website and is based on the legitimate interest in stable, secure operation. See Cloudflare’s privacy information. The older vercel.app addresses are still served by Vercel and may redirect to this site.

Apple, Cloudflare and Vercel may process information in countries outside the EEA. Their privacy information describes transfer mechanisms and safeguards. Contact us for more information about provider processing associated with this website.

Storage and deletion

Ordinary game history, settings and the version 1 archive remain in the app's local storage. The usage record is limited to the last 100 game attempts and can be deleted separately in the app. Clearing the record does not delete a copy you have already exported or shared.

Daily attempts in Keychain have no automatic expiry routine in this version. They can remain after the app is deleted. The app has no separate button for deleting earlier daily attempts from Keychain. Deleting the app or usage record also does not delete Game Center results, your Apple Account or purchases held by Apple.

Support enquiries and attachments are retained as long as necessary to follow up and document the request, and deleted when that need ends, unless continued retention is required by law. Technical logs are processed according to website operating needs and the provider's current retention terms. We do not state a single fixed retention period covering all such logs.

We cannot access games stored only on your device. Contact us for help with local data or information you have previously sent us. Manage Apple's data through Apple and your account's privacy settings.

Earlier app versions

Version 1.x could fetch a signed game library from musikkbingo-innhold.b-cdn.net. The provider could process technical connection data, including IP address and time. Those versions could also use Apple's music preview service. This paragraph describes earlier versions.

Version 2 bundles the library in the app and plays available clips or full songs with an Apple Music subscription. Earlier shared challenge links may contain points and round counts. The new website does not read or store those values in the browser, but the URL itself can appear in technical request logs.

Your rights

You may ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or provide a copy of personal information we process about you, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights apply subject to the conditions in data protection law. Email hei@musikkbingoapp.no.

You can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet. The authority also explains your rights and the information you should receive in Norwegian.

We update the date above when this policy changes. Material changes will be explained in the app or version information when necessary.
